While in lockdown we are able to follow the Mass daily online
Mar 2020
However I now seem to have a problem on the IWCP Webcam. I am able to get into the software but the webcams just remain blank.

A beautiful place to worship for Catholics. The Priest is a Jesuit and is very welcoming and fully! We visit every single Sunday!

We love attending Mass here by the ocean! Today the youth choir was wonderful. Very easy to Keep the Faith here. Peace.

Beautiful church, wonderful parish priest, lovely mass!
Jan 2020 • Couples
We joined mass at this jewel on the Caribbean Sea in Barbados. First thing we noticed - the large glass windows overlooking the sea. The mass itself was beautiful - uplifting songs, joined hands for ‘our Lord’s Prayer, and very meaningful sharing of the sign of peace. There were also much needed prayers for unity amongst all churches as well as a thought-provoking sermon. Thanks to the parish priest and all the parishioners for a warm welcome.

Lovely Mass and a great Homily
Dec 2019
Seems strange as another has said to review a Church! Lovely Mass and welcome. The sign of peace was particularly eventful with hugs including one from the Priest. He was very special. Quite an elderly gentleman in years but in attitude he was right there and up to date...his Homily was a very interesting one touching on a variety of subjects and making you think outside the box. I have tried to watch the Mass on webcam and whilst I get the picture perfectly I can't get the sound to unmuffle. Feel sure its not my system but wondered if anyone else had that problem? We were a bit late as took the wrong link road but there is a car park opposite which we would have seen if we had had more time. It was a little cosy in the Church Car Park!! And yes, it was a little bit of a diversion to see the sailboats and jet-skis swooping past the window....! Thank you for the responses I received from reviewers before I went.

Sunday mass which was a thanksgiving and farewell as the Jesuit's are leaving
Nov 2019
We arrived at the church for concelberated mass of thanksgiving. It was also an opportunity to meet up with father Michael who married us 34 years ago in Enfield. We were made extremely welcome even though we were strangers.
After mass we were able to join the parishioners for lunch in the back garden which overlooks the beach.

Such a welcoming vibrant parish
Mar 2019
This is always an important part of our holiday to attend Mass here. Interestingly the building was originally a cinema and therefore has a slightly sloping floor which gives everybody a good view. It is delightful when the children are invited down to the altar to sing the Our Father. Just ask any driver of the reggae bus to drop you off at the stop nearby. The church now has air conditioning so can be a bit chilly, short sleeves are a good idea.

So welcoming to visitors
Jun 2019
Visiting from London my friend recommended going to Catholic mass here in Barbados. On arrival the gorgeous lady welcomed me and I sat down. Thereafter the mass included about 12 local children making their First Holy Communion - I felt privileged to witness this. Joyous occasion.

OUR TYPICAL AND WONDERFUL BARBADOS SUNDAYS ......
Mar 2019
.

We always enjoy our Sundays on Barbados (well, we enjoy every day of course, but Sundays are always special aren’t they?).

We start with 10:30 Mass at St Francis’s. The Priest is friendly and engaging as are the great local parishioners and every Mass is a joy to attend (even though at home I am generally a C&E Catholic - Christmas and Easter!).

The Mass is very pleasant with lovely singing and generally an interesting sermon - often punctuated with a little bit of humour.

The view from the windows either side of the altar are gorgeous ones of the ocean, and it isn’t unusual to see a sailboat or jet ski swish by in the distance.

After Mass you can get together in the rear garden for a drink and tit-bit whilst enjoying the fabulous ocean view.

Parking is available opposite but we always park at Lone Star just down the road and walk back there after Mass for a cocktail prior to our 12-noon booking for a leisurely Sunday Lunch. The Roast Sirloin main is always beyond wonderful.

After lunch we drive to a Open House visit, if there is one. If there isn’t we return to our apartment at Schooner Bay and just chill for the rest of the day with books, crosswords and Scrabble.

Always such a wonderful day - but it wouldn't be the same without it starting with the heart and soul lifting experience of 10:30 Mass at St Francis of Assisi.

Wonderful, Friendly Church.
Jun 2019 • Couples
We were on the Island for our first Wedding Anniversary and decided to go to mass in this RC church based where we were staying on the West Coast. Very friendly welcome from a local parishioner who ironically came from Merseyside and is now back on the Island to retire. The Priest delivered an excellent Mass with a touch of humour which also was aimed at the young children.
