    Needs More Bins!
Mostly lovely, but there aren't enough dog poo bins and it is obvious because there is a lot of poo left on the floor. It tends to be busy, with lots of kids on the play parks and lots of dogs on the trail, but it's really beautiful and a lovely place to go for a walk. The cafe is really lovely, too, and I highly recommend the hot chocolate.

    Ok to be honest
Where do we begin, visit this place fairly regularly throughout the year but today it was rammed!! Never seen so many, it was like lockdown all over again 😂. I’m sorry but some people should not be driving, cars dumped wherever an inch of tarmac exists (some helpful notices had been attached to the windows which naturally they were thrown on the floor.. nice area 👍🏻) Place is a good walk though and if certain feral dog owners could pick up the dog dumplings it would be even better. Park is a good size and plenty to do, cafe on site and toilets (on car park) Overall worth a visit but possibly avoid on the few days of year it is sunny

    Journey breaker
On our way to Preston and decided to call here to break our journey. An interesting place with lots of history but just lacks interpretation panels at the various points. There's a nice pond and a lovely cafe, a great play area for kids. We'll worth a visit

    Massive Improvement! Well done!
Came here end of May and the cafe was heaving - one person having to do it all. I suspect that put people off ordering - it did me, cos I didn't want to add to the madness. What a difference when we visited last Saturday afternoon! 2 young ladies serving, and even though there were lots of visitors (glorious sunny day), and the cafe super-busy, it was so much better with more staff. We had toasties, coffee, cake & ice cream. Decent lunch and the server was helpful and cheery. The park itself is such a great space, and it's great to see all the projects for community involvement. Big thumbs up from me!

Excellent walk and visit to the Cafe !
Brilliant walk around, Woodland,River and Lake! Great service in the cafe by Alesha who was friendly , professional and courteous all day! She was exceptionally busy as she was serving on her own! Reading the reviews this is not an Isolated time! Constant queue, bless her, cooking ,taking money and making brews all by herself! She needs a pay rise and the staffing situation, should be looked into before any leaves!

Had a nice walk round with the dogs and called into the café for coffees. There was a bit of a queue and only one person serving which wasn't ideal as there should be at least 2 at busier times. A place like this will know it's busier days and times and it'd be ideal to just call some zero hours casuals in to cover those periods like most places do - the person serving looked like they were having to do everything which made it awkward for customers as well as the staff - the whole experience from smaller queues to pleasant environment could be 100% better with a few more staff to tidy tables, work the till while the other one made drinks etc.

..., or at least, more men with trimmers as weeds are encroaching on too many paths off the main drag. Still, enjoyable to wander around.

The park itself is a lovely walk around a nice sized lake and a good play area for the kids but this was spoiled by inconsiderate dog owners letting their dogs run riot and attacking children. Certain dogs should be kept on leads, especially in the vicinity of a play area. On two occasions an Alsatian managed to get in the play zone and started chasing the children. Secondly on our walk around the lake my daughter was nearly attacked by a staff dog of some sort but I managed to drag her away and pick her up until the owner came jogging over claiming the dog “doesn’t bite”. It’s a really nice park but I won’t be going here again unfortunately.

A fantastic place for a walk not too far from MCR centre with a free car park too.
We took the gentle walk round the lake.
There are some great sculptures along the walk though most weren’t labelled so no idea what they were.
There’s even a café.

A green lung in this part of Salford which has a dearth of other amenities when compared to "Salford proper" especially when Clifton Green is being bulldozed for housing as I write.

Anyhow, a midweek visit for a change and the small park hut was manned and serving snacks and drinks. Lovely to walk around the so-called marina which as the last contributor mentioned is deep and dangerous as people have drowned in there.
