We visited this spot for a short while after Mahebourg. The beach was quite clear and pretty. The water was shallow and there was some shade for the people who didn't want to completely sunbathe. Wish I had more time here to snorkel in the lagoon.

This is without doubt a beautiful location but sadly I think it is on a decline. We took a trip in a glass bottom boat and was truly upset to see how much of the coral is already dead. This is supposed to be a conservation area but there seems to be no limits on the number of boats or... More

We have visited to all west and south beaches of Mauritius, Blue Bay was the most crowded but most amazing one of them in my opinion. Port of the bay is really narrow that keeps the sea no waves and shelvy. You can probably see at least one group of locals dancing saga:)

Didn't know what to expect but walked around the beach. There are beach houses and residential areas around. The food didnt look inviting to me though

This is where visitors and locals really mix on the best public beach on the island. As well as a sandy beach this world maritime zone has tropical fish a plenty. Catch pools in volcanic rock at right tide and every one is an aquarium. Trip on local glass bottom boats highly recommended. Mauritians go to this beach around the... More

In comparison to grand bay, flic en flac, point aux piments beach and black bay beach, we thought this was the best. No rocks and beautiful sand

Well used by locals and tourists alike this beach is great for relaxing and swimming. We last went 4 years ago and were turned-off by the hawkers but this time they're relies pushy. We even had an ice cream from one of the vans- it was delicious!

I am proud to write a comment for my small village favorite beach. This is where we use to chill on sunday with Guitar and the one n only Phoenix beer. I have travel a lot of places in my life and only Bali beaches can remind me of my beautiful Mahebourg and Blue bay Beach

Beautiful beach, beautiful setting. This beach is well served by bus and private car with plenty of parking and toilet facilities available. The beach crowd is a mix of Mauritians and tourists but not so crowded.Beach sellers are very few.Boat trips are readily available into the marine national park and it is worth the Rs200 pp.Sunbeds are for hire but not many.A beach... Blue bay; the name explanes everything. Beautiful white sand beaches, black basalt rocks on the side, a bit higher there is grass. The water is lovely blue and clearing. But when the sun shines, the water becomes more beautiful and has lots of different blue shades; breathtaking! Last monday 12/11/16 it was crowded with Hindu locals because of the celebration...
