Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wanderful and unique landscape. Amazing mineral colors and hot water, directly from the hearth of the earth

This place is worth a visit. The entrance is free. You can get the map for the walking trail from the reception of the newly opened museum. The two ladies at the musem were super friendly and helpful.

As a geologist, I have great interest in this aspect of Tuscany. My wife does not. But we both happily hiked the 30minute loop and enjoyed the scenery. The interpretive signs are mostly unreadable from age, so do a little research on hydrothermal systems and such. The path is not for the feeble. Bring good shoes and/or a walking stick.

Great place to visit. Walk on paths through the volcanic landscape watching steam escape from the ground. Colours fantastic.

The park is for those who want to experience different Italy, escape from crowds into steaming fields of rocks and new smells. It was great fun to put down hands to the ground and feel the heat comming from it. There is a footpath guiding you along rocky hillside with clouds of steam floating up from it. There are also some informational stands that informs visitors also in English about the processes underneath the groud and utilisation of thermal energy in local munucipality.
We spent there about 2 hours. Climing up and down rocky hilside is easy but might be problematic after heavy rains due to loamy surface at some parts of the footpath. Some sort of hiking boots are recommended but you will be fine also without them. Those who are very sensitive to smell of hydrogen sulphide are advised to enjoy this beauty of nature from distance but for noone from our group it was a issue.
It is convenient to reach this attraction if you are traveling along west coast of Italy. If you are traveling along highway A1, then it will take some more time on little though scenic roads to get there. The park is open all year round, there is no admission fee to it. There are no gates that could be closed or fences around the park.
