The day we went on this ferry to Koh Phangan it ran smoothly enough. If you book online you need to take a printed version of the booking and exchange this for a boarding voucher and a sticker that identifies your destination to the crew so they know where to stack your luggage. It works as well as any other... More

well it got me from one island to the other, which is what i wanted. but that is pretty much all this offers. the views from the boat were nice as well. aside from that, they have no sense of organization, and tell you absolutely nothing about where to go, where to line up, where/when to get off, where to... We were able to utilize the Bus/Ferry transport from Krabi Town (the Nice Hotel was walking distance to the bus) to Ko Samui. The bus ride was what we expected to get for the cost (no luxury liner) and the ferry to Ko Samui was in relatively good shape. We used the ferry a few hours later to take us... More

I take the boat from Samui to Phangan go and back twice a week for business, boats are not always on time, but the not good part is the pollution from their engines before seing the boat coming from the horizon you see a black smoke around it this is just lack of maintenance, also on the 1pm boat from... I'd suggest avoiding them - travel time they state is false. Trip from Koh Tao to Koh Samui took 3h vs. 2h Pros: - boats less full than Lomprayah - better for those who get sea sick Cons: - old boats and not the cleanest - times are not true (Koh Samui to Koh Phangan takes 2h and not 1.5h,... This compagny is not trustworthy, even through it is the cheapest one : The bus is old, and we strongly suspect that they open up our bag and stole one of our phone from our luggage. The transfer bus is indeed inside the boat while it's navigating, and the traveler are isolated for 1h-1h30 from their stuff. They didn't stole... More

Tuesday - January 10th 2017, happened to have to take a business trip via Seatran Discovery Ferry from Bangrak Pier, Koh Samui on the 8:00 am. ferry to Koh Phangan (Normally Seatran Ferry is already rated less than 3 over all). I got done with the business before noon, so got back to the Seatran Ferry Ticket Office wanting to... More

A simple excusrion with adequate yet limited service. If you can afford a speedboat tour with guide, do it. Otherwise go with the flow, take your time and don't expect much.
