A very thought provoking day away from Gdańsk. Informative permanent exhibitions about conditions in the camp, and detailing the experiences of those imprisoned there. And a particularly moving temporary exhibition about art and poetry in the camp.

As previously stated really easy to get to from Gdansk and a few reviews down has really good instructions of how to get there! Only a small portion of the concentration camp left compared to what it would have been like but still very poignant and moving. The lady at the information desk was very lovely and helpful, said we... More

Went in January and the snow made it feel very surreal. Bitterly cold at -3c. The camp is very well presented with many of the old buildings stil intact. Lack of English translation was a problem but you get the gist of the message. Also no English speakers on duty in the information was a surprise. On Mondays in winter... More

After reading some of the reviews on here we decided to make the trek to Stutthof. The museum was very informative and well organised, you will probably need a few hours to explore everything on site and take time to reflect. We purchased an English guidebook for 4 Zloty from the information office but didn’t really need it as it... More

We were staying in Gdansk, and really wanted to go to Stuthoff, I'm neither Jewish or religious, but still wanted to see what evil people had done to others because of this or even simpler things. For a free entrance museum, and your into this type of historical site, I would go, if your not it could be hard going.... More

There is a bus that takes you from Gdansk and comes back 3 and a half hours later, which is the perfect time to see everything. Don't spend loads of money on a private bus or a tour, it's unnecessary. It's free to get in, but please make a donation. You have to visit here. It's horrible. I honestly have... More

Hell on earth. Cold and naked history Comes alive. On the walls the dead prisoners voices speaks to us. Speaks about cruelty and hope of freedom.

There may be organised tours in the high season? Otherwise go to a tourist information and they will give you details of what service bus to get and where from. It's the 870 and costs about £5/6 each way (can't buy a return ticket) Take food with you as there are no facilities. We went to auschwitz earlier in the... More

Much of the camp has been well preserved. Watch the movie first in the admin building. Notice the barbed wire fences and guard towers. Displays are in the two long buildings where Jews were housed to see how they lived. Foundations of other buildings show the layout. Can also see an excellent relief map inside one building. Then walk down... More

This place has been historically preserved so well. It is hard to put in words what this visit was like but overall it was something that my partner and I were so happy we did. It was very overwhelming & emotional, what happened at this place hangs heavy in the air. The guides are well worth having, they have so... More
