10 March to 29 October- Daily - 10am to 6pm. History comes to life at Mont Orgueil Castle, which for over 600 years protected Jersey against French invasion. Explore the network of staircases, towers and secret rooms to discover hidden treasures. Every time you visit you'll discover a staircase you've not seen before opening up into a room where you'll find something new. Discover Hidden artwork commissioned to tell the story of the castle; Climb the turrets to find the medieval ‘wheel', and descend into the cellar to experience the exhibit. Life-size wooden soldiers guard the castle from attack and 'the wounded man' statue shows the fate that could befall those fighting to save the castle from invasion.

We had a good visit here. Its a bit of a climb to the top but worth the effort. There are things to distract you on the way up so it breaks up the climb. Wonderful views over Gorey and the sea from the top.

Gives a full understanding of construction on construction. A labyrinth but with a lot of access and information. No wheelchair access. An afternoon well spent

This is a very well preserved castle and based on my visit, that is well worth seeing. There are many rooms to explore with exhibitions in each of them detailing the different aspects of life in castle or historical events. There is no defined route...More

This castle is worth every one of the many steps up and down. There is a great deal to see in the different areas and the flowers in the grounds are fabulous.

My wife and I visited Mont Orgueil Castle in late May. We parked just outside the village and thoroughly enjoyed the walk along the promenade, enjoying the carefully maintained gardens on the landward side. We approached the entrance via steps at the harbour. On paying...More

An interesting castle and was brought alive by the young student guide who showed us round. Without him, we would have been lost as it has many levels and rooms and not enough written explanations. Beautiful views from the top. Not very accessible if you...More

Yes you would be able to get to the castle and have some access walking on the main gravel paths and some uneven stone foot paths. The castle is on a hill and some of the paths are quite steep. Beyond the main paths it can... More

Mount Orguel is definitely best as there are many rooms to explore and the views are great.Quite a few staircases so not so assessable for those with walking difficulties. The village of Gorey is worth exploring.
