Nice distillery in a nice garden with a nice rum

Small distillery, looks more like a showcase, rather than a real serious rum production plant. Rhum is good, different take from the Cubans. They have several tinted rums... read more

We visited while touring beautiful Mauritius. The tour was very interesting and the rum tasting highly enjoyable. Pricy but well worth it.

We visited here one afternoon and spent a pleasant couple of hours here. Firstly we had a guided tour, which although was not very long as the Rhumerie is not very big, was very informative. Our guide was a lovely young lady who really knew her stuff. We finished the tour with tastings of 8 different rums - the tasters... More

Yes it is a little bit different than the other rum factories. More like visiting a vine yard in Europe. The tour is amazing and not expensive and you get lots of stuff to drink. Seriously. Do spend the extra little amount and go after the tour for the tasting of the XO . Stunning stuff and really worth bringing... More

Every taxi, every bus stops at this location - the bonus must be sufficient ... There is even an entrance fee for just visiting the shop! Prices are higher than in supermarkets!

The Rhumarie de Chamarel has a beautiful setting and the distillery itself is awesome. The gardens and flowers will take your breath away. The tour is interesting and informative and lead my knowledgeable and friendly staff. The rum sampling was a lot of fun!!! We really enjoyed the experience.

I really enjoyed visit to Rhumeria! Tour around it was well organized, with a lot of interesting details and information shared. Sampling different kinds of rum at the end of the tour will make sure that you get few bottles from the shop!

Small distillery, looks more like a showcase, rather than a real serious rum production plant. Rhum is good, different take from the Cubans. They have several tinted rums (vanilla, oranges) and liquors (coffee... don't remember). Good experience .

As you enter the Rhumerie, you are directly amazed by the beauty of this factory. Very new and beautifully made. The tour is very interesting and the lady explains very well how the rhum is made or where it gets its color from, very nice tour. No need to say that the rhum tasting at the end is the best...
