Make sure you research the times for the bird show because it's fabulous and in such an amazing location with magical views. Ive seen other bird shows before, nothing like this though. Amazing. The interior of the castle is very boring, don't go there expecting...More

Nice, especially from the outside. Easy climb,so foniculare is not necesery. If you dont take the guided tour there isn't much to see.The bird show was ok but not more than this. Children (11,14) were interested to a limit. About 1.5 hour tour.

What a place. It's just how I imagine a mountain fortress should be. Entrance is via a crowded funicular lift, accessed once you have your entry ticket. It is no place for those less than totally mobile. The walkways are steep and, for anybody less...More

We took the cable car ride. The ride was smooth and quick. The castle trip was in itself quite interesting. However the bird show made the trip even more special.

We thought we knew exactly what we were doing, followed a marked path from the station and our guide map only to get lost. Thanks to passing workers we eventually found our way to the fortress. Strangely, given it's on top of a steep hill,...More

The castle was stunning, be warned very steep paths to and inside the castle. The birds of prey show was the best we have seen with birds flying so close to the audience, amazing! Over all a really good day out.

We visited this castle primarily for the falcon show, but were very impressed by the castle itself. A great glimpse into Austrian history with an excellent tour of the castle. The falcon show (including a Bald Eagle and vulture) is a can't miss attraction. A...More

A visit in excellent Austrian weather, beautiful skies and very friendly tour guides. It is a great glimpse into a amazing history of the area and with some gruesome tales from the dungeon. There are great possibilities for kids to explore also, with treasure hunts...More
