Visit to this place takes you back in time, when Ahom Kings of present day Assam conquered this part of North East and set up their palaces and places of worship.
Stone monoliths strewn around this place also gives us an idea of the level of technology available in those days, amazing indeed...

We came to Nagaland for a wedding and, in reading through tripadvisor, talking to our driver, and talking to the hotel, there is little to do/see aside from the ruins, the "supermarket" (bazaar), and drinking.
On arrival at the ruins, it was intriguing but there were few informational signs and and the place was clearly unkempt. The pillars and were decrorative and beautiful to look at but I am unclear). Aside from looking at the pillars, the locals were more fascinating. It has clearly become a hangout spot for middle and high school students. There were small clusters around the area chatting amongst themselves.
I recommend bring big spray as the overgrown grass and trees attracted mosquitos and other bugs.

It is near supermarket of Dimapur and just a throw away distance from Dimapur Railway Station...Located just in front of Circuit House.
It houses some relics of Kachari Architecture...Has a nice garden. It may take at least 45 mins to 1 hour to visit the place
Only problem is the place is not opened regularly. However, one can get a glimpse from outside.

Stumbled upon the path to these beautiful stone structures which was great except there were no sign boards to explain what the huge stone pieces were for.
I’d recommend organizing a tour guide or reading up on the site before walking 20 minutes around the compound

The approach road is in pathetic condition, door was locked, place was deserted, signboards were absent and there was no one to guide. You can go to this place if and because you have nothing else to do as a tourist in Dimapur. The stories are hidden deep within the stone pillars and there is no effort to hear them

A must visit place. It is said that Dimapur used to be the Capital of Kachari Kingdom. The Govt. of Nagaland should initiate proper protection and bring it more for tourists visiting Nagaland.

Its basically a park. In some small areas of the park there are remains of the Kacchari palace. It has historical significance.

Currently the place has no guard or written information about the place. Even wikipedia says that the use of this place is still mystery.

It's an old historical and heritage of Nagaland. Big area, well maintained with a boundary area. Stones are kept in separately with a grill partition.
