I visited this place yesterday and I have to say "Wow". The birds looked happy and very well taken care of. The staff were friendly and keen to share their knowledge. They were great with my child and I was so imressed how they encouraged other children to stroke one of the owls. There were a few volunteers who travelled... More

Cracking day with Ray and his beautiful birds of prey! The venue is wonderful, and is of a size to make it very friendly. Very informative, with obvious passion for his birds. Also very entertaining (although we did feel for the amount of running Stephen was doing!!) Will bring my school lot for sure. Many thanks to the team.

Fairly small centre but a great variety of different birds. Staff had excellent knowledge of the birds. Flying displays were fantastic - as were the staff who involved the visitors in the flying displays. Will definitely return for another visit & would recommend to anyone visiting Kielder.

This has been one of the most informative and enjoyable bird of prey experiences. Very knowledgeable and engaging staff who seem very passionate about the birds they care for. Highly recommend a visit.

We have visited the Centre many times over the past few years and every single time Ray and the team have made it a fully interactive, informative and pleasurable experience for us and a wonderful, hands on experience for the kids. Ray has an enthusiasm that is catching and to see others experience from his passion fuels his day! Go,... More

We visited the Bird of Prey centre during a stay in the nearby lodges. The owner of the centre was very knowledgeable and was great with the children encouraging them to hold the birds and learn more. We arrived in time for a display and we all had a chance to see various different birds and have them fly to... More

i visited this centre last year and attended the daily falconry display that Ray did. I have a passion for birds, and Ray's enthusiasm left a mark on me so when I visited Kielder in March this year i decided to do a Falconry Experience. The cost of the experience was £80, starting at 11am and going through to the... More

We had an excellent time here. The birds are all so beautiful and well cared for. I got to hold and pet Tilly the 15yr old Screech owl. I also got to bring back the hawk for food, and held the hawk hybrid, while he was feeding. An amazing afternoon, wished this was nearer me, so I could return.

Compact but really well laid out, with plenty of birds that you can really get up close to. The greatest feature of the park are the staff- they were all very knowledgeable and passionate, and actively looked to engage you and talk about the birds. We got to stroke and feed owls- something you might not get to do for... More

Well worth a visit, what Ray doesn't know about the birds of prey isn't worth knowing. We were there at feeding time, and it was amazing to see the way these birds were with him and anyone else who wanted to feed them. Sadly the weather wasn't great so we didn't get to see them fly, but would not hesitate... More
