It was an unplanned trip but we enjoyed it nevertheless. The shrine is located near Dakak Resort and was ideal after a hearty buffet lunch. The artifacts were well kept and there's just so much to see and learn.

The place is really clean and you can visit for free. You can also buy pasalubong items outside of the shrine. It's great to be able to see personally the kubo and visit the place of exile of our national hero.

This shrine is of extrene importance to Filipinos. Jose Rizal, the country's great independence lead, stayed here prior to being brought back to Manila and executed.
