As we were driving towards it you’re suddenly away you’re quite remote. Then you turn towards the gap and see just a long narrow road road going up between two peaks. As you go over the crest and down slightly around a winding road it opens up into a simply stunning view of the surrounding area and ocean. It has to be seen to be believed. Incredible!

Beautiful views from the top but not for the faint hearted or those with a dodgy clutch! I think I can still smell the burnt out clutch of my mums corsa from here! Also make sure your handbrake is good and tight before you decide to park at the top...

This is a beautiful drive and although a little dodgy in parts when you meet oncoming traffic, it’s well worth it. You could stand there for hours just admiring the view.

I have known Mamore Gap for almost fifty years. I always love going there and admiring the view. Stopping the car in the pass and taking a few moments is always an awe inspiring experience.
