The temple has connection with history and mythology. The beliefs and faith are the souks of human life. The temple is for the queen named Ambadevi said to have lived during Mahabahrath times.

There are two temples adjoining each other one is Ambadevi temple and other is Sitala mata temple. These two temples are now developed by their district collectors as well as volunteers. The road side shops are attractions for its ancient and low budget things. Road side Snacks and tea shops are available to cheer out.

It is said that Amravati has got its name from this temple. The temple has special significance in spiritual history. Wife of Lord Shri Krishna - Rukhmini used to worship in this temple before her marriage to Lord Shri Krishna. Lord Shri Krishna ran away with Rukhmini from this temple and took her to Dwarka.

I visited the temple with friends. It is an ancient temple. There is a library near the temple. The approach road to the temple is crowded by shops. The shops sell local items and also the things relevant to a temple.
