I feel like overrated, actually it's a myth place, it's nice for who like hill station and riding..The place is cool enough even in th summer season, however don't compare with ooty with this. It will defenetly make disappointed if you come here from far away. But malappuram & calicut peoples can surely have a try. You can visit the nearest destiny cheruppadimala also.

It's a good place to visit. Don't expect Ooty as it is, but indeed it's a mini ootty. Early mornings are the best to visit and you might be lucky enough to see the hillocks covered with the mist n clouds ( I wasn't that lucky last time). Will have to take own vehicles. There are some wayside eateries where you can have snacks n tea. Heard that parking will be a bit problematic especially during Saturday n Sunday evenings

Cheruppadi Mala and Mini Ooty viewpoints are two closely located picturesque sites of the Arimbra Hills, separated only by about 8 Km. Cheruppadi Mala view point is located on the north west whereas the Mini Ooty view point is along the south east.
After about half an hour of travel from Karipur (Kozhikode Airport), via Puliyamparamba (around 11 Km in the South and South east direction), we reached this picturesque hairpin bend of Cheruppadi Mala. The small hill is popular for the striking beauty of foggy hills and the splendid views of the fresh water ponds, thus making this tourist attraction an eco-holiday destination of the District.
The rare sight of the deep water-logged rocky ponds of varying sizes on either sides of the road is not a common one. Though we could now see only a twin pond at the lower elevation and a single larger one after the hairpin bend at the peak, there have been a few others, lost today due to the massive granite quarrying undertaken there. Lots of lorry traffic of the quarry and other constructions have totally destroyed this beautiful and rare tourist picnic destination. We can also get glimpses of the Kozhikode Airport and even watch the taking offs and landings and taxiing of various aircrafts. On the other side, one can find endless lofty mountains and deep valleys covered by thick blanket of greenery. This place is accessible easily from different parts of the district, as many roads connect Cheruppadi Mala to different places.
Mini Ooty is yet another tourist spot of the Arimbra Hills in Malappuram, located at a height of 1050 ft above sea level and attracts large number of visitors for its rolling hills and scenic views.
