A must visit for believers. Temple looks more spacious with comfortable parking. No decent eating joints. However, Very rich food offerings at the temple. Was quiet and very thinly populated on the day.

The main deity is lord Rama. Hanuman is adjacent to the sanctum. They both are considered to be in the middle of the conversation they had right before Hanuman's first trip to Lanka. This is when lord Rama gives the secret password to him using which he could gain confidence of Sita devi. Consecration of the temple was done by sage vasishta. The temple is believed to be around 3000 years. However, I recently read that a statue of Vasishta was discoverd in Delhi and based on carbon dating, the statue was from 3700 BC plus or minus 800 years. That makes it much older. Had a nice fish pedicure at the temple pond.

A visit to this temple is so captivating that you are attracted to this place, being Lord Rama temple its commonly known as 'Hanumankavu'. Lord Anjaneya here is the symbol of supreme sacrifice. Temple can be reached from Tirur-Kuttipuram Road ~900m, or Edapal-Tirur Road ~2kms.

Alathiyoor temple is famous for Hanuman though the main deity is Sree Ram. It is believed that kids if chant the name of Alathiyoor Hanuman in the night will be free of fears and bad dreams. A symbolic of Hanuman crossing the sea to reach Lanka is available there with people jumping over a stone representing jumping sea. The main offering is Aval kuzhachathy (rice flakes mixed with jaggery)..really a nice place to visit

The hanuman swamy temple is situated at Alathiyoor, Malappuram district kerala.
Main deity of the temple is lord sreerama. However the temple is famous for his devotee hanuman swamy.
The hanuman swamy deity in this temple is in a rare position. Hanuman swamy standing besides lord sreerama, his head slightly one side down so as to hear secret code from his lord sreerama while proceeding in search of seetha devi, as per myth.

There is also a symbolic 'sea crossing' which can be done by the devotees as done by hanuman swamy while searching for seetha devi.

Aval nivedyam is the favourite offering there..

The temple is so calm and quite as situated far away from city and main road..

Roads to the temple are narrow and may be difficult for large vehicles...

On reaching parking may not be an issue..
