A trip to kodachadri is a wonderful experience for all. There are two options to reach kodachadri from kollur. One is trekking and other one is jeep service.

This a special place - spiritual and something mystical. I suggest to go on all seasons especially rainy. Mookambika temple and Kodachadri having a connection. Route : Nearest Rail 'Baindoor or Mookambika Road' This hill top can be accessed by Jeep from Mookambika Temple and base camp. Mostly people come here after the Mookambika devi darshan.

A smooth Jeep ride from Kollur takes you to the base of the mountain. Then 9 Kms of pure adrenaline pumping ride up a mountain on a pretty lame excuse for a road. Then you reach a point after which Jeeps cannot go. From there you walk about 1.5 KMs to the Shankara Peedom. That is an experience. If it... More
