Breathtaking winter view
Mar 2020
I have no words to describe this place. This is the best place I have been in winters in terms of beauty and away from any cities hustle and bustle.

Sky, snow and statue 🙂
Jul 2019 • Friends
One cannot ask for more nature and beauty!!! On a clear day, the blue sky, snow clad peaks and the Buddha statue make a perfect click. Did it in July 2019, on my RE TB 500.

My only request to people would be to be a bit thoughtful before expecting too much from the home stays/ lodges in such places and writing sad comments. Imagine their lives at that altitude and so far away from even a remote place like Kaza.

Langza, the fossil village
Oct 2019
We drove through the chilly air to reach the gigantic Buddha statue in Langza. Amidst the snow clad mountains, the statue sits majestically braving the chilly air. It is an amazing spot for clicking good pictures.
Langza is known as the fossil village, as the mountains there contain fossilized stones and can be naturally be found. A few girls came up to the statue selling the fossils they had collected. Once we made our purchase, I initiated a conversation. Shy at first, they told me about their way of life and also played hide and seek with me.
All in all, an amazing experience

A small village with big views
Oct 2019
About 15 km from Kaza, nestling in a Himalayan amphitheatre at a height of 14,500 feet, is a remote village named Langza. It is one of the highest villages in the world that can be reached via a motorable road. There are no star hotels here, only a quaint Himalayan homestay amidst the 30 odd houses that are home to its entire population of about 140 people. ⠀

A Buddha statue believed to be some 1000 years old, dominates the landscape, with snow-capped mountains in the background. And beyond this, you’ll find Langza’s main attraction – a Fossil Park littered with buried remains of prehistoric sea creatures! Fossils that conclusively proved that Spiti Valley was once under the Tethys Sea, and millions of years ago, when the Indian and Eurasian plates collided, the Himalayas emerged from this sea.⠀

Serene Golden Buddha
Jun 2019
Langza is a magical place in spiti valley. Seated in open this Buddha statue overview the surrounding village and farms, The view is mesmerizing. Lies in the heart of fossil area, which indicates the presence of water bodies in foregone times.
Perched on an elevation of over 14,000 feet it will mesmerize you due to serenity of surroundings.Only few kilometers from Kaza.

Langza, spiti valley, one of the most surreal places I've ever been to
Sep 2019 • Solo
I've been planning to visit Spiti valley since the last 3 years and Langza was on the top list to be, the Buddha statue located at a place from where it seems like he's taking a view of an infinite valley. This place is breath takin, I did stayed here at night (which would have been awesome as you can clearly see the milky way along the statue), there are guest houses there and a cafe or two. I had sea buckthorn tea at spaceship cafe located near the statue. Be there respect the place try a little donation and please keep the place plastic free, do not litter. It's an amazing place to be alone and meditate for a while.

Beautiful Hamlet, Golden Buddha statue, beautiful drive
Jul 2019
The drive to Langza is is undoubtedly one of the most scenic drive, it had a snow capped mountains in the backdrop when you approach, with a magnificent and a large buddha statue on the top, with the village sprawled down under. The village could be seen in two levels, upper and lower, but both below the Buddha statue.
I visited it in the month of July. The village is small and offers homestays and basic food to travellers who want to stay and go for some treks around.

Most scenic road in India
Sep 2019
Once you start climbing uphill from Kaza for langza the view gets amazing and just before 4 kms from the statue that part was unarguably the best scenic route in India...and I don’t know what can be more beautiful than that.
