I started my journey in the morning to Xian main station and picked the train at 7:35 am. It was a good decision that I booked the onward and return train tickets through Ctrip English version. I arrived at Huashan station around 8 am, from there you walk towards the main bus stand for 5-10 minutes. Then you board the... More

This was a great day trip. I got to test my limits and my adventure spirit hanging on the side of a mountain, exploring temples and enjoying the view. It was so beautiful the extreme cold did not bother me one bit.

Huashan is one of the most danger mountain in China, but absolutely worth to go. The scenery are extremely awesome. You need to go early if you want to walk all mountain peak(east, south, west and north), this time I only have time to walk except east and already use 7 hours to walk. you can start to hiking from... Huashan is a must if you are in Xi'an. The scenery is just stunning while the mountains represent a very iconic image of China. Although steep, the hike itself is not difficult. The trail has been paved with stairs so it's pretty easy to do. Huashan has something for every type of traveler. You can climb all the way up... More

My sister and I decided to leave Xi'an in the morning and do a short hike. We left Xi'an bei and arrived Huashanbei around 10.45 (30 min ride). We bought the ticket for entering the national park (180 rmb/person) and we had to decide whether we want to go to start at the east or west peak. [east peak =... More

Once you get to the visitor centre at the entrance, there are many different methods to experience the mountain each with different costs etc. The entrance... More

Nice place to visit. It took us about 8 hours to climb from North Peak to East Peak. This place is full of tourists from China. Best to climb Huashan early in the morning as less crowded.

I have visited Huashan with wife within a day trip from Xi'an, scaled the peaks in the order of West, South, East, Central and North peaks. I took the cable car up to the West peak and down by cable car from the North peak. This is the route I would recommend to others, since this route is less strenuous... More
