Moldovita monastry was just a delight to visit.. especially as we had such a sunny day when there! We got there early, just as it opened, so we were the only people there which was a huge bonus! It's not that large but the walled...More

This was my favorite monastery : beautiful outside and in, with a very well kept garden surrounding it. The inside is wonderful also.

In general it's beautiful, and unique for this region in Romania. Definitely worth to see. We don't pay for the entrance, because nobody was around, but I think there is some small fee for the entrance.

This is maybe the most charming of all the monasteries around. Here we didn't see so many tourists as in other monasteries. But both the exterior and the interior are unforgettable.

Not so impresive as other monasteries in the area, Moldovita has it's own beauty that attracts you. A peaceful place, easy to reach.
