We rented a boat in order to get to the island from Torregrande. Take everything with you as the island is deserted and is a nature reserve. Loads of wildlife in the waters around the rocks. We found a few jellyfish, so be aware, the...More

Very nice place to walk. I parked car (free during winter) near San Giovanni church (one of the oldest in island - beautiful), pedestrian path takes you to to Roman site (you can visit but also admire passing by). On the same time you pass...More

Beautiful views, archaeological sites, historic churches, gorgeous beaches and laid back local restaurants all in once place. A great day trip from Alghero or other parts of Sardinia, highly recommended. There's an easy walk from the car park up past the church and through the...More

This is a pretty scenic peninsula and even if you don't go into the ancient city of Tharros, you can see the ruins on the stroll by the fence (including the seaside columns, ruins of the temple, etc.).

What a wonderful destination for history lovers. Here you will find the ancient city of Tharros. Lots of Roman ruins together with a Nuraghic settlement and a Spanish Tower. Beautiful setting overlooking the sea on two sides with a magnificent beach.

Jaw-dropping view greets you if you do the hike from bottom to top of the Torre and more! Restaurants and cafes are also found in the area, so you can grab an ice cold beer or a shot of espresso!
