Coastal Black is a family owned and operated fruit winery and meadery. All our wines are hand-crafted on site with our own berries and honey. Come for a visit and enjoy a tasting and pizza! Our own Brick Oven Italian Style Pizza is now open for the summer season! Our new menu is posted on our Facebook wall - please, come join us for lunch and wine.We would love to welcome EVERYONE through our doors at Coastal Black, but being a winery, it is more of an adult oriented environment. We don't mind families coming and bringing children, we simply ask that they be respectful of the other patrons and try to maintain the relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. Also because the Winery is more adult focussed, we don't have child specific amenities (ie: juice, highchairs, toys etc) so please be aware of this as well. Thanks so much for your time, and we hope to see you out for some delicious wine!

You build a first class tasting room, serve meads, table and dessert wines from your fields of your own berries and seasonal sensations like pumpkin spice wine! And when you gain traction you construct buildings, patios and pizza ovens and become an event centre for the whole island. Weddings, parties and bus tours and you don't lose your grounding. Great place to... More

Loved everything about the winery. They had a harvest/pumpkin fest going on and you could easily see all the work they put into it. Amazing and memorable. With two corn mazes and a hey maze, kids had a blast. Pumpkins were reasonably priced too. I probably would have bought some wine if they had easier to access tastings. Never had... More

The selection of wine is superb. The service is more then you would expect and most friendly and parking is great!

The Honey they sell there is amazing and local. Fireweed and wildflower are faves. The wines are not my preference, but it is a nice location and they have a bistro with a lovely patio. Would like to try lunch in the future.

Very disappointed to arrive at Coastal Black to find that they no longer serve pizza. We ended up getting wine but did not hang around the property. Ended up eating at Salmon Point.

We went for the distillery tour with two other couples. The information was succinct and pertinent and interesting. The guide answered all questions. The tasting was free, and a good example of their wares. One of our party purchased several bottles of the whiskey, one of which was for a wedding gift which was very well received. The Shelter Point... More

The area is so beautiful it seemed so peaceful and relaxing. They had lots of birds sing everyone there songs. It so peaceful I found it hard to leave. But first the taste tests. The greeted as friends even though we had never met. Seemed quite organized and had lots of info on there product, you could tell they liked... More

Beautiful spot. We went based on a recommendation for their pizza but they no longer do the pizza. They do have a cooler full of light picnic snacks.

The setting is beautiful , cozy up to the bar and try their delicious wines , my favorite is the Blackberrry table wine . They have a large patio area for lunch , and serve the best oven pizza you will ever taste . The average price for a bottle is $19. They also sell eggs and honey .

So much to do and see when you go here. Whether you are there for pumpkins or in the winter for their Christmas fun! We have gone a couple years now and the kids always want to go back! A bit expensive when you have a family of 6 (family rates would be awesome!) but still fun to do.
