When we arrived the car park was packed, we could hear music and thought we may not be able to visit, but as it turned out we had picked a great day to come. A 3 day celebration was underway, Omani's were displaying local products, weaving, sewing etc were underway. In the corner local food was being dished out, men... More

Surprisingly large fort, well restored. Great views from the rooftop. Wander at your own pace or join a tour group if possible.

We loved Jabrin Fort. It is literally one of the most wonderful forts I have visited in the region. It was beautifully refurbished, gorgeous inside and a joyous experience all round. The staff were also friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend a visit.

This fort retains some of its character (mostly a few furnishings) that give one a feel for what it must have been like in its heyday. Many of the ceilings have interesting decorations and it has lots of rooms!

A well renovated fort, with some explanation on the life at the time. It is without a doubt the most interesting one that I've visited in Oman. The visit comes with a nice audioguide.

Lots to see over 3 floors, the route through was well laid out. This fort had audio guides, which were mainly informative. Some sounded as though they had been recorded in a cafe though and were hard to hear. Still big improvement on the info. available at other sites.

If you have visited the forts of Nizwa and Bahia drive on for another 15 mintes and you will arrive at the Jabrin Fort, which is the smallest of the three but the most interesting with holes for prisoners and a courtroom plus labelled rooms for everything else including a bathroom. My favourite of the three forts.

Nice place, can spend about 1.5 hours. Perfectly maintained. They also provide a audio guide. You can press the corresponding numbers to hear the details about each place.

Unfortunately, it was Friday, and I arrived too late to see the inside of the fort, but it looked very impressive externally, and has been well restored.
