This church could be a major site if it was invested in - I'm afraid now its just a ruin. When I was there from 2006 to 2011, you could go in. I would be careful to do so now as folks do live there...More

Quelimane city is pretty live place where you can feel yourself in a park surrounded by palm trees, with so many Portuguese and Arabic buildings, where you can feel the taste of Mozambique native shrimp and Zambezian Chicken which is unique.

In an incredible state of ruin this cathedral is your great photo opportunity in Quelimane. Best views are from teh Chuabo Hotel restaurant verandah. Pretty soon it will be revitalized and it will lose the magic of the ruin its currently in.
