went up during dark on a way we wouldnt have found without our guide. Afterward sunrise we could roam around, see the dead forest, hot springs, sulphurgas coming out. You cna just be "inside" the vulcano, experience it, its not only watching from a distance

Great place and the place name they called "Hutan Mati" you should go there . Then we have tour leader the best in garut is "jelajah garut" very completed they explained all information about papandayan to us . Thank you jelajah garut .

Papandayan is one for the complete novice. The walk is moderate, in the open over broken rocks. Camping is a breeze, with tents for hire and food stalls nearby. Do catch the sunrise at Goeber Hoet.
