Our 5-hour trek with Tim Tranter on the National Pass Walk offered fabulous Blue Mountains scenery with constant, informative--and often humorous--insights by Tim on a huge variety of relevant topics. In addition to the engaging commentary, Tim provided a delicious lunch of wraps made all from local ingredients, which we enjoyed trailside with incredible views. Highly recommended!

My wife Susie and I did a 5 hour walk near the Three Sisters with Tread lightly. They were recommended and we can see why! Michael was our guide and was a wealth of information. In fact as the walking tracks are often well posted it is the information you get that is the difference between a guided walk and... More

Our travel agent booked us with Tim and Jeff at Treat Lightly Eco tours and we could not have been more pleased! Jeff took us down into the Jamison Valley into the rain forest to see water falls and all kinds of plant life, told us all about the birds we heard, and made friends with a yellow robin! He... More

What a interesting and informative trip we had. We had to tailor the trip to our needs as we both had unexpected mobility problems. Tim was fantastic and we learnt so much. We had fantastic views of the Blue Mountains and had a very enjoyable drive through some spectacular countryside.

We could not have picked a better company for our nearly full day tour of the Blue Mountains. Professional. A mine of information - interesting at every stage. Loved the picnic perched very high on the Blue Mountains. Well done guys!

We were looking for a guide to give us some local knowledge about the blue Mountains. We were blessed to have Michael Jackson as our guide. He has great knowledge of the aborigines in this country, plants and archeology. He was very kind and took all my dozens of questions in stride. The lunch, snacks and water were provided. We... Totally awesome. Michael, our guide, was very friendly and knowledgable about flora, fauna, geology, and culture. The glow worms (all over the gorge walls) were thoroughly enchanting. A great experience and well worth the private tour.

Tim, the owner of the company took us out in his 4wd. His knowledge and passion for the region is infectious. Recommended if you want to go beyond the standard and obvious and learn about the unique ecosystems and local history.

Our travel agent arranged a day hiking with Tim, owner of Tread Lightly. The weather was so windy we scrapped plan of a five hour hike and opted for experiencing the Blue Mountains through Tim's vast knowledge base. We learned why the area is a World Heritage site while walking and driving. Tim's passion for the area and knowlegde is... More

We had three days in the Blue Mts One we spent on our own seeing the normal tourist sights and hiking the local trails. We wanted to get beyond that into more remote wilderness without worrying about getting lost and ending up in the news and without needing a car. Our style is take our time and enjoy the journey...
