It is always interesting for us to visit an iconic place in every city we visit. This time we visited Mount Galungung, one of the most popular objects at Tasikmalaya. We began with the hike up thru hundreds of stairs to the top of Galunggung and on the top we can see the Galunggung crater and some part of the... More

Its fresh, natural and cold. Good destination for you who want to spare a time to enjoy your time off from the city. Its quiet peaceful and recommended stress medicine. But i hate the way how they manage the trash and also the route to go there. I think it should be managed in more better way in the near... More

When you reached the galunggung park, you can go to the right and play in the hot spring pool or you take the left path and climb toward the galunggung mountain. Go straight, you will find after another check point where there are two different way you can choose. Go left to the left stair and right to the right... More

Insanely beautiful views from the top of the crater lake inside the crater and the surrounding area. The volcano is not so high, but very attractive and beautiful. Nearby there are pools with hot volcanic water.

Its really nice view when you can reach the crater. Before you see that, you need to pass around 600 steps. Its worth it. You can enjoy the view. Its amazing. There's 2 options, from the main gate or "saluran air".

My friends and I started the journey to explore tasik and ciamis last weekend and Mount Galunggung was the second spot we visited. A bit challenging to climb up since we need to go thru 620 stairs but when u finally reach the top, it was paid with beautiful view (God's creature is so beautiful). It is an inexpensive place... the distance from city center to this mount isn't so far, it can take you about 30 minutes or so by car, the road is quite good, only a few hundred meters before the park lot is bad.I suggest you to come to this place in the morning, so you can see the sunrise which I think so pretty, and... More

This volcano crater located 45 mins outside Tasikmalaya. You can go by car and then walk the 620 steps to go the crater. The steps are really a fitness test. Try to finish it without taking a rest. There are food vendors around the crater selling noodle, instant coffee and snacks. If you're into adventure, you can build a camp... More
