Simply Fabulous

You'll drive up to a gorgeous building, then be amazed by the extensive cellars. Then, in the tasting room you'll be impressed by the wines. Be sure to taste their sparkling wines, not available in the US at this time. Truly, this is an impressive winery!

Amazing place!

This was our second visit to this vineyard, as Roero Arneis in general, but Roero Arneis Anterisio from Cascina Chicco in particular, is our favorite white wine. This however was the first time we had a tour of this amazing place. We were welcomed by the lovely Simona, wife of one of the owners, who told us a lot about their journey to success and showed us round their huge wine cellars. We can only agree with the previous comments about the amazing architecture, absolutely stunning and a real work of art. We then had a very generous wine tasting and as well as the white wines that we like, they also produce an excellent Barolo, which is a red favorite of ours.
They of course also have several other good wines and Spumantes.
If you want to visit a vine cellar in the Piemonte district, this is a must and you won’t be disappointed!

You haven't seen anything yet until you see this winery - good wine too!

Been to wineries all over Italy from Tuscany north and this is the most amazing place yet. The underground cellar works are amazing. They used the bricks from the original house to line the walls and ceilings. The tour was well done but the wine tasting afterwards was really wonderful. A large selection of wines with food samples by our guide who very knowledgeable. We purchased a few bottles and also grappa. If you are going to see a winery in Torino this is the one to go to. The drive and countryside are delightful as well.

Excellent larger winery with amazing cellar

Great tour of the winery, in particular the newly built underground cellar which although newly built has been carefully designed and built in the old style. The result is amazing. Very knowledgable tour guide followed by an extensive wine tasting. Excellent barolo and very good (pretty cheap!) Barbera di Alba. One of the larger wineries in the area.

A three generation wine cellar in the heart of the Roero

A very modern wine cellar. We sampled about 6 wines and ended up buying a Barbera which for my tastes was the best of them all. If I compare them to other wine cellars, it wouldn't be my first choice, don't get me wrong, the lady in charge of the tour was knowledgeable, but just a couple of grissini with all that wine made you tipsy straight away, there should be more food and some chairs or stools to sit on while you're sampling the wine. They could ask 5 euro per person for the wine tasting and just put a couple of pieces of salami or cheese on the table. Shame!!!!

An amazing and generous tasting and tour
Jul 2016
Claudia met my wine-writer friend for an amazing tour and tasting. She included the history of the winery, stories about the family who owns it and took us to the (relatively) new caves, dug out about 10 years ago. We tasted products of the house: bubbles, whites, reds and dessert wines and purchased quite a few bottles. I highly recommend a visit to Cascina Chicco.
