Didn't stay the night, but enjoyed Benesse all the same. Not the highlight of the trip, but still a must-see on Naoshima.

This Hotel including a museum is pure heaven, the architecture is clean and blended beautifully with the nature. The art is wonderful and both myself and my 13 year old daughter loved the entire experience.

I understand everyone has different tastes but I must say this is not mine. If you like cold, gray concrete and minimalism perhaps you will think this the epitome of design. As a professor of landscape architecture I got nothing from our visit and actually...More

This is a museum that thrilled us beyond words. You're not allowed to take photographs, so I have nothing to show. What art vocabulary I posses is not that adequate to describe the works on exhibit. The ideas behind the works are totally unexpected, clever...More

Outdoor/ indoor display make this art museum a whole body experience. The pieces are varied by medium and style, which keeps interest high.

It's all about the Building. And the restaurant. The art collection in this museum is rather average. But don't let that stop you going. And is a magnificent architect.

I enjoyed this museum. Walking around was lovley and they had some wonderful art. The restaurant looked nice but we didn't eat there. It's good to go for a stroll around the grounds too.

Beautiful ground. Large and airy room with excellent view facing the island shore. Relatively pricy 10-course Japanese dinner but exquisite food and presentation, plus excellent service, made the 2+ hour dinner well worth every penny and should be a must try. Also, we enjoyed leisurely...More

Another example of Ando's talent and sensitivity to place the architecture into the context of the environment and topography. As always the journey through the museum is made very interesting and the use of natural light is second to none
