I attended the Sanada Festival and was in the area of the information center. This old temple is a short walk from the information center. In the old days women were not allowed on the sacred Mount Koya. So this was the closest to could come for a while. Ladies’ breast seem to be something they worship as one may purchase and leave wooden amulets adorned with breasts of all designs. One of the trails leading up to Mount Koya starts near here. The stairs leading up to the Niukanshofu Shrine is right next to Jison-in temple.
