had been there for 3-4 times before but this time we drove around the lake. There are many smaller lakes/marshes dotting this big lake, and these are all worth visiting. If time does not allow, take a 1-hr ferry trip. The pier is on the southern rim. Opposite to it is the entrance to the Goshiki-numa, another famous koyo attractions... More
