this is not really a castle, it's more like a palace, it looks really great from the outside, the inside it's not worth seeing: for the ticket price of 10€ you can see a bunch of rooms which look fake and temporary exibitions completely disconnected from the context. better go there and spend your time in the huge and beatiful... Great location in the countryside near Brussels. Gaasbeek usually has very interesting exhibitions even though the castle and insides are totally awesome with great historical reference, they have combined art showing to bring more business;Definately check it out.

Nice and quiet place to come and relax in a very peaceful parc around a beautiful castle. Autumn is the best period in my opinion.

Stepping back in our past. Nice walk to Castle and drink on the walk back makes it a very nice visit with a nice look over the region from the castle walls.

This castle is well preserved and the interior can be visited on a paid guided tour. The domain itself, however, can be visited entirely for free and provides some nice photo opportunities and relaxation in a beautiful natural environment. Definitely recommended on a sunny afternoon.

Fascinating castle in a unique setting. The panoramic view from the garden is historical and shows the landscape as Breughel has painted from this same place.

The Gaasbeek castle is just a few minutes away from Brussels by car (or by bus) and it has a nice museum, garden and park. It was rebuilt by a crazy & free-thinking lady in the 19th century with an idealised vision of the Middle Ages, so it's not the most "authentic" historical experience, but the visit is very well... The function of the castle evolved from a strategic stronghold to a summer residence and a country estate. Hence you discover an interesting castle with an eclectic mix of styles. There is a museum that often hosts thematic exhibitions (with varying quality !) Taken the time to discover and enjoy the garden and the park.

You cannot see the castle from the road. You have to park and walk through the woods for a bit until you come onto a clearing with the castle to your left. The view is amazing, and you can sit in the park and enjoy this wonderful castle. While we visited there was an art exhibition. The dark and creepy... More

The exhibits as Gaasbeek are always just amazing and quite an experience. There is something new each year and both times I went I was very impressed. Check out their website to see what new offerings they have for you to enjoy. The castle itself is impressive - just what you want to see when you see the word "castle"... More
