A place for good photo spots for your trip to Hokkaido. If you are renting bicycles, best to get the Electric ones as there are a number of up slopes especially at the entrances to the road. Your legs will thank you !

This is a must see in Biei. It's a very serene space filled with photo spots. There are farms that showcase their stock of sheep and pony, but you'll have to look around. I spent about 2 hours driving around in this area. I seen...More

We rented bicycle from the first store when you come out of train station. The shopkeeper was very helpful in offering us the map and explained the direction, marked the slope up and downhill with different colour pencils. We rented the non electric assisted one,...More

Since it was summer, there were no contrasting colours to distinctly see the patchwork. Every thing was green or brown. However, still a nice quiet drive in the morning with fresh air.

We were driving and stopping for a few times at roadside to enjoy the countryside scenery. It was so amazing especially during sunset.

The vast landscape filled with white snow is equally breathtaking. A very humbling experience for city folks.

I believe there is a bus that goes around the area for the tourists. If you are visiting the area for more than 24 hours, then a rental car is a good idea.
