The view is only up from a pretty high bridge (I'm afraid of heights and did not expect it would be that high!). Bare in mind that the attraction is just to view the beautiful waterfall from afar. Despite the distance, my family (young kids...More

This is nice falls close(3 km) from the Blue Pond. Shirahige literary means "white beard" in Japanese, and each of the falls are actually falling like "white beard". This is a place to come when you come to the Blue Pond in Biei area.

This waterfall is very near to the Blue Pond, so it's worth stopping by if you are in the area anyway. It was incredibly misty on the day of my visit and so the atmosphere was nice as the bridge overlooking the falls seem suspended...More

Not the best waterfall I have ever seen but still one of the good ones ! Plus it’s super convenient with lots of parking lots ! Just that there were lots of mosquitoes watching the falls with us that time

Impossible to walk from the station. Must drive or take a bus there. It’ll take around 20-30 mins. There’s a bus stop just round the corner from the station. The frequency is roughly one bus an hour and ride it to the end... More
