We stayed 2 nights, 10 & 11 June at Asahidake onsen Yumoto Yukomansou. It was lovely. The exterior may looked tired, but it exudes old charm. Service from the staff was good and prompt.

Unlike more famous Onsens that sport towns dedicated to stripping tourists from their money, this area is refreshingly under-developed. The primary activities are enjoying nature. Not for everyone, some people might be bored.
