    Fantastic experience
What an amazing day! I had never ridden a horse before and so was quite nervous however I need not have worried- the staff were very kind and gentle ensuring that I felt confident every step of the way. We went along the beach and into the water at the edge. The scenery is fantastic, you feel like you are on a film set. My horse was very placid and easy to ride. All the staff were very skilled and calm. I highly recommend this experience and will definitely go again.

    Beautiful ride
The most beautiful location!! Beach and Moreland. Our guides were very kind and engaging and extremely competent. They assessed our levels accurately and allowed us to ride a little trot on the beach a few times - it was exhilarating. The horses are obviously well cared for and very well trained and sure footed. Couldn’t recommend more!!

Great fun and beautiful part of the world
Great experience! My 10yo daughter and I did a 1hr trek here. We had never rode a horse before but the staff were fantastic and the horses were perfect for us. We went in a small group along a nearby beach which was beautiful. Would really recommend the experience here if you are visiting. Philip and Fistine were brilliant, and the person driving the gator from Belgium too (sorry we didn’t get your name!) 🌟

The setting for the walk is magical, the Ballyconneely coast, the walk takes place on sublime beaches.
It is perfect for beginners and riders with little outdoor experience.
The horses follow each other in single file, no danger.
A little more frustrating if you are already used to it outdoors.
The walk is a return trip along the same path, more or less long depending on the option chosen.
The guides do the work, nothing more, nothing less, they take people for a ride in a bit of a chain fashion.
The cost seemed exorbitant to me: €90 in cash of course, for a 2-hour ride (which ultimately lasted 1 hour 45 minutes).
Note that the structure lends helmets and boots.

We're not very experienced riders and really wanted to ride horses on the beach. We booked the one hour trip and really enjoyed it. The two of us were taken out by one guide which was great as she was able to give us advice and tips. It was such a relaxing hour and the horses and views were beautiful.

We had an amazing time despite the overcast weather. The staff was competent and friendly and the horses so well behaved, I had no concern for our safety. My 9 year old had never ridden before, and the guide made her completely at ease, so she thoroughly enjoyed herself. The beaches we visited were gorgeous, and seeing them from horseback was a different experience all together.

Went for a 2 hour trek in a group of 4 (2 couples). The centre is well sign posted and we were greeted on arrival. Our guide Joanne explained the basics and then we went on a breath taking two hour trek along the beaches. Joanne was helpful, informative and catered for the varying experience in our group (one of the group has 18 years experience). Would highly recommend The Point to friends.

My wife had never ridden a pony before, so she was a bit trepadacious at first, but Jo Ann put her right at ease. SAFETY was Jo's clear priority and she held the reigns throughout the ride, which allowed my wife to really relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. This was the highlight of our trip and we are already planning our next getaway out to the West of Ireland.

My 9 year old and 15 year old did the 1 hour beach trek. The 9 year old had never riden outside an arena. Both really enjoyed the trek, they cantered along a good few beaches, the location was stunning, beaches were empty. Owners are very nice, friendly couple. We would definitely do it again and recommend it to all.

My boyfriend and I visited the point yesterday and we were not disappointed! We had the best time. The staff were very thorough in asking about your experience to assign the right horse for you, we felt very at ease. At times when I got a bit scared Joanne would help me along and always stop and it was great. We learned how to trot ! I cannot recommend this place enough, and the horses are beautiful too, the trek we walked along was magical. make it part of your trip :)

What an incredible afternoon. My daughter had the most amazing one hour trek on a beautiful Connemara pony. This centre is exceptional. So friendly and accommodating with a keen eye on safety and Covid measures. A huge thank you to Joanne who took my daughter on a lead rein trek and was very kind & friendly - truly made our afternoon. The trek on the beach is breath-taking. Pop this at the top of your list if you’re in the area. An absolute gem of a stables in a knock-out location. Very many thanks for a wonderful end to our holiday.

Sincere apologies but I don’t recall the guide ( who told us this was the first time she was managing the business on her own as the owners were away)…..she was absolutely outstanding! From the get go, she was both welcoming & reassuring that as novices, we would all love the experience……& that we did. No clock watching, the leisurely experience provided us an opportunity to trot on the beaches, something I’d never have thought we’d do and it was clear their ponies are well used to carrying people who haven’t a clue!
