We found a number of places along the canal and also stocked up in a couple of supermarkets/ small shops / lock shops and ate on board. Be prepared not to find somewhere

People do fish but I would certainly not be eating anything caught! The water hardly looks inspiring and regardless of anything else, I think what fishing takes place is for sport on a catch and release basis.

Le Boat is the largest rental company on Canal du Midi. Check out their website to see the bases. Chose the most expensive boat you can afford and aim for one with bow thrusters to help with steering. A mini week wont give... More
