Located in the Bekaa, Aamiq is a nature reserve. You can access it by Qabb Elias following the road going to Saghbine. Entrance is barely marked so you have to keep an eye for it. Entry is 5$/person. Inside, there are lakes and ponds where migratory birds stop. There are trails for walking throughout the reserve (suitable for strollers) but unfortunately signage is almost absent. So, you just walk where you feel without knowing what are the high points of the reserve. Unless you have a guide. You can easily spend 2-3 hours there if you want to see a big portion of it. The best time is in the morning when it is not hot. You cannot drink or eat inside the reserve. …

Aamiq wetland is in the west Bekaa, 25 minutes from Zahle. It’s a nice place for Hiking or biking with family.
