The little church on the hill in Glandore in West Cork is such a tranquil & peaceful place. It has a wonderful setting & has amazing views overlooking the village & harbour. It's original features & stonework are well preserved & some details on the history of the area are displayed on the walls within. A lovely place to visit, but parking outside is almost non existent & could also be a bit dangerous to passing cars, so best to park in the village - just a stone's throw away, & walk the few paces to the entrance, which is also unique. A must if in the area!

This church is in a really beautiful setting. This quiet) time of the year it is lovely to sit outside on the benches and just watch the world go by. In the Summer hosts great exhibitions and events.

Located at the edge of Glandore village you would almost miss it as you drive past. You can park in the village and walk to it. You pass through a tunnel in the rock face to enter the church grounds.
The view of the bay from the church grounds is worth the stop. Ideal for a picnic! No access to the church building itself.

Found this hidden gem on a walk to Union Hall from Glandore. It's amazing how you go through a tunnel of rock to get to the church and then you get some amazing views across the harbour. The local history display inside was very interesting.

This beautiful stone church is worth visiting. It offers amazing views over the Glandore Harbour. It really is a lovely building and you find yourself surrounded by a peaceful atmosphere the moment you walk through the cave tunnel entrance. This little church on the hill is worth a visit. Services (Church of Ireland) are held here during the summer months.

Christ Church, Kilfaughnabeg in Glandore is a stone 1861 church located at the entrance to the Rectory Driveway. It belongs to Church of Ireland. It is in continuous use for century and a half. The beautiful Rectory next door was in fact built prior to the Church. We found this amazing old church while walking from Glandore to Union Hall. There is a beautiful view from the churchyard and you get to it through the short tunnel in a rock. The church has simple interior and features exhibits as well as daily masses during the summer. There is a lot of historical information on display in the church. There seem to be a fundraiser going on to save and renovate the tower. The church has its facebook site and locals are very attached to it. it is the biggest local attraction.
