Very interesting place to visit. It's a ruin of a building nothing more. So don't expect a cafe or a shop! But it's tranquil in the countryside and really lovely. Unless you take a picnic you only need about an hour to visit this place.

Had such a good time with the birds. Beautiful creatures. The gentlemen showing us the birds was very informative and funny. The kids loved it. The tractor ride was a highlight too.

We visited Appuldurcombe House at the same time as we visited the Owl & Falconry Centre next door. We walked down through the beautiful field of bluebells & snowdrops to get to the imposing ruins of this once famous house. You can wander through the house & read the information boards which help you to understand the history of the... More

The highlight of my day was, being brave enough to ask if... More

We loved watching the Falcon display and later on the Owls and Bald Eagle displays. The Falconer was very knowledgeable and funny and we had a great chat with him afterwards and he told us that Appuldurcombe House and Falconry etc are on sale for six million pounds. Hopefully whoever buys it keeps the Falconry etc displays going as we... More

This is a ruin and is quite creepy, but also beautiful to look around. The shell of the house sits on some beautiful grounds and is a lovely spot on a sunny day. There is no entry fee and it doesn't take long to look around, bit it is worth a look and is a good place to picnic. There... More
