I was touring Scotland on the NC500, and deliberately took a detour here. You know when you look at a picture and think that can't be right. Silver sand, deserted beach, beautiful sun, Scotland!!?? People said the online pics must have been photoshopped or taken on the single good day of the year. Well look at these, taken on an... More

Just outside Morar and clearly signposted are the Silver Sands. There is a small car park with toilets at the top of the hill above the beach. We were lucky to be there on a sunny day as the beach is stunning, and goes on for miles. The views are magnificent and the last time I saw waters as clear... More

Beautiful beach with stunning views with such beautiful Caribbean like white sand. Ideal for letting kids run free and dog walking, will be gorgeous on a sunny day!

Haven't been here for at least 25 years and still the same as I remembered it; still white. Just think if the weather could be guaranteed what would this place be like? Probably overrun and ruimed

If you're fortunate enough to be here on a sunny day (not necesarily summer) the seas and the beach look like the belong on a Caribean island - though the temperature will be distinctly Scottish!

We what can I say..our 1st visit to the area and we find beaches that wouldn't look out of place in the carribean...We should know as we spent the last 4 years travelling to Barbados..I can honestly say never did I ever imagine I would find beaches like this in the UK. The stretch of coastline between Arisaig and Morar is my favourite place on the planet. Go on a day when the sun is shining and you will be rewarded with sea of intense blue, stunning views and the most perfect picnic spot in the whole of the UK. Great for shell hunting, wandering and just soaking up the beauty. Even... More
