Very welcoming

Think this lovely old church may come into its own when a cruise ship is in port. Offers free tea and coffee and biscuits to all(donations welcome) and also has a separate area set aside for crew members to use for drinks, wifi and pray. What a wonderful gesture. Just a short walk from the cruise terminal.

Tall and Statuesque

The Church was built in 1861. It is the tallest building in the town and a reference point if you get lost. This town is known for it's maintenance and repair of North Sea Oil Rigs. Both Jack Up's and Semisubmersibles can been seen in the Harbour.

From the berth where we disembarked you can see the spire dominating the landscape of this fairly small oil fig repair ,town .Well with the walk up a gentle rise to view it inside and out ....quite historic .The rest of the town is a bit ordinary apart from the lovely gift shop close by the Pier as you return to the ship

Beautiful church

As we walk from the disembarkation port we had the chance to admire this church, and then walked back to the main street where we rode a bus to Inverness. The Train Station didn't had an office to purchase tickets.

Church with Open Arms for Cruise Crew members. Nice!
May 2018 • Couples
Invergordon is a small little town which has become known for the known for the repair of oil rigs. We visited the single church in the town and enjoyed our short stay.

The church is very simple but very friendly. I thought it was really nice that they had a special place for the crew of cruise ships to come, enjoy some coffee, donuts, wifi and pray.

We stayed in the church a little for a short rest and headed back out to walk around the town. It was a short visit before we headed back to the cruise ship. Definitely worth taking a stroll even it it was for about an hour.

Small church had a childrens program going on -- so limited access

The tall spire makes it easy to find this church. When I entered, I was met by a man who told me that a childrens program was going on, so I was limited in the places I could go. Also, no photos are allowed if children are involved.

Nice Church a short walk from the Cruise Ship tender Berth
May 2018 • Couples
Our cruise ship arrived unexpectedly due to a fault with the generators. Word went round the town and suddenly 'everywhere' (there's not that much to see) started opening..
The Church Warden greeted us at the front door and welcomed us to the church and also explained some of it's history. It doubles as a very welcome refuge for mariners, including cruise ship crew, and offers free wi fi a place to sit and free tea or coffee.

They made a special effort to welcome people from our cruise including free tea and coffee and free wifi. Very relaxed atmosphere, good for advice on what is open and what is worth seeing.

Welcoming & Helpful

Located by the port where cruise ships dock. A welcoming and helpful church for the maritime crews as well as for the general public.
The staff was very helpful in giving advice and directions as to what and where to see in the city.
A lovely church to see on your cruise day.
