I remember visiting this zoo as a child, and so we decided to stop in recently whilst holidaying in the area. It has certainly lost none of its appeal. Set in an old radio transmitter station, it is now home to a wide selection of...More

Spent the day at this lovely animal centre. Very hands on experiences and the play areas were fab! The lunch portions are ginormous. Everything was reasonably priced too. One of my children had an accident and the members of staff were very helpful and gave...More

Went with our grandchildren. A pleasant day out. Notable for the number of set events when , for example, snakes are shown or otters. Staff helpful. Only downside is the food: typically tasteless unimaginative English food.

A great place for children of all ages. Excellent value and you can enjoy animal encounters. We stayed for nearly six hours. Tarantulas, gibbon and otters were our favourites. Fantastic indoor and outdoor play equipment so very good in every weather.

We went here as a family of 4 adults and 2 teenagers. It was a good place to pass a few hours. We didn't eat here so we don't know what the food was like. There are plenty of animal shows to keep you entertained.

Snakes, lizards, parrots and Pirates! Great place to while away the day. Lovely knowledgeable staff and the food at the cafeteria was fantastic! The team there are friendly and efficient, and it really is a treat. Try the double cheese burger, you won't be disappointed!...More

This is a unusual concept that works really well a combination of zoo, aquarium and children's play park. Small but well laid out most young children will gravitate toward the 2 large pirate ships in the outdoor play area and should it rain there's another...More

In fact the pirate play area is wheelchair accessable if you ignore the steps (the original BBC steps from the 1930s and approach via the agouti enclosure or through the gardens to the East of the entrance. The only area... More
