We did this treck on a rainy day and was still well worth it. It took us longer then the 4 hours suggested but that was mainly due to wet ground. Its a really varied climb going through woods, over rocks, streams and sometimes using...More

Wow, what a place. Hike completed as a brief excursion on the way from Preikestolen to Eidfjord but turned out to be one of the highlights of our 2 week stay. The walk is relatively short, about 2.5 hours up, but it's a mix of...More

Done this hike with 2 teenage children - great experience for all. Although we did not get to the end of the hike due to time constraints, it was still worth it. The path can be wet and slippery and it's also cold there, even...More

This hike (4h return) takes you close to the glacier and offers nice views. The best thing in my eyes is the path up - it passes several small bridges and climbs a lock of rocks (ropes help on every more difficult section). Great advanture...More

this s a great hike to Folgefonna glacier. Only three hours there and back. It involves about 400meters vertical But "most" people in reasonable physical shape can do this hike

Followed Nigel P's recommendation (https://www.tripadvisor.co.il/ShowUserReviews-g1096319-d2302149-r395591052-Buarbreen-Odda_Hardanger_Hordaland_Western_Norway.html#REVIEWS) and went there in a partially rainy weather. The hike is 3-4 hours long depending on personal pace. Prepare to use the ropes to climb and descend especially in wet weather. Not crowded which is definitely an advantage. The weather...More

Well this restored my faith in Norway aftercare Trolltunga experience. Despite rainy grey weather, it was a fantastic walk. The going is quite hard underfoot and certainly decent walking boots are needed. Walking poles are useful on the way down. Higher up there are fixed...More

Buerdale signposted off main road south of Odda. Follow single lane track up the valley to a large carpark (inaccessible by bus). Walk starts easily through woods and then gets progressively more challenging. Upper sections have roped rock scrambles, which are fine in the dry...More

The hike to Buarbreen is much easier than the Trolltunga hike. Although the views are not as spectacular, it is a very scenic hike and the glacier is definitely magnificent. This hike takes about 3-5 hours in total and it relatively easy. Sheep roam free...More

The bus only to Odda and then on foot. This walk took us the whole day. On the way, huge fields of strawberries. Was beautiful and delicious!

I think yes. Officially it is OK (See the "visit Norway" site). The weather is very important. I would check 2-3 days before. If it is very rainy you should either prepare for very wet weather (boots, raincoat) or drop it... More

Very easy. Go down route 13 to Odda. and continue south (still on 13) a few hundred meters from the center. You will reach a T crossing that has a branch to the right (west). It is Jordalswegen. There is a post with many... More
