I made my arrangements to fish with the company owner, Heimir Bjarnason at the end of our two-week vacation to Iceland and it was a highlight of the trip. I fished sea trout on the Varma and Heimir knew the three beats we went to very well and provided me with great advice and fly choices that resulted in fish... More

I had two days fishing with Ari, one day sea trout and one day salmon. I hooked up on two good sea trout and three salmon and got one salmon to the net. Ari is a fantastic guide, understands the the rivers and the habits of salmon and sea trout very well. What impressed me is he works very hard... More

Kris and Birkir were great guides. They spent plenty of time helping my kids learn to fly fish. They were very friendly and knowledgeable. We caught many Arctic Char and they are maybe the best eating fish I have ever had.

We booked two days of fly fishing, one day salmon fishing at Korpa River and one day Arctic Char fishing at Hoola. Our guide Ari was awesome and made the two days unique and unforgettable. For my 13 years old it was his first time trying fly fishing and through Ari's skilled and patient instruction he mastered the art fast.... More

What a great trip. I booked the River Holaa trip and was not disappointed. My guide Chris was super friendly and helpful. He was patient and helped hone casting techniques as I was out of practice. Once we got things going, I started catching fish. I landed seven char total and lost a few others. Most were in the one... More

My 10 year old son, Elijah, and I went for a day guided fishing trip with Go Fishing Iceland. We had the pleasure of having Ari guide us for the day. I have been fly fishing for about 15 years and my son has been fishing quite a bit, but was really new to fly fishing. We got to the... More

I visited Iceland in June 2016, and Ari was my fishing guide. We fished the Holaa River east of Reykjavik and I caught one arctic char and lost four others. The weather was sunny and beautiful, and the fishing was even better. Ari couldn't have been a more patient and informative guide! I'd always dreamed of fly fishing...Ari made my... More

My husband and I did the Holaa River trip with Ari as our guide. It was a great experience! Ari was a very patient and effective teacher who seemed genuinely committed to giving us the best day possible. We fished at various spots along the lake and then moved down to the river. I'm not a huge fishing fan so... More

I recently went out for a 1 day fishing trip on the Varma. The weather was horrible but my guide Ari did his absolute best to keep a positive attitude and get me on some fish. At the end of the day I did end up with a few small sea trout and a nice brown. I would absolutely fish... More

I planned this day trip weeks ahead of time...I was so looking forward to it and guess what? It was my favorite day here in Iceland. My friend was supposed to come with me and cancelled and stayed in Reykjavik, so I ended up going by myself with my guide. It totally felt like I went with a good friend,... More
