The views were beautiful and it was very cheap to pay to go up, but I was disappointed to find a whole bunch of markets and restaurants at the top and not a lot of space to enjoy the beautiful spot in nature. It was...More

Did a private tour with friends. The climb to the top wasn’t that bad. I saw a few older ladies wearing high heels making the climb. Once at the top, the views are really amazing. A must see while in Medellin.

If you go to Medellin, Colombia. You have to go to this beautiful place, completely worth its 700 steps to the top of the "Piedra del Peñol" (Peñol Stone). Once you are up there, get one of the Mango Micheladas and take some great pictures.

Worth the climb. To be honest, it is not that bad. Approximately 700 steps but most of it is shaded and stairs go in a zig zag which makes it easier. Just take your time and enjoy the views. It really is not too bad....More

We had a lovely day trip from Medellin to Guatape. The highlight of our tour were the views from the top of Piedra Del Peñol. I'd recommend wearing comfortable shoes and bringing your own water. Bottled water is overpriced on site. Also, don't make the...More

This is a 'must do' activity in Guatape. Climbing the rock costs 18,000 pesos to climb and you must walk up just over 700 stairs, but the views are out of this world - some of the most stunning views you will see anywhere on...More

There is a sign saying they are not allowed and I don’t think it would be a good idea to take a pet all the way up there. The steps are steep in some spots and it can get a little crowded.
