The Citadelle, museum, shop are a must do if in Port Louis. The entrance fee is nominal and under 21s are free. The models, pictures, costumes, etc are captivating for all ages. We have visited many times and never get tired of what we see.

This museum is within the citadel and charts the history of the lifeboat service in France. Much of the narrative is in French so a good understanding of the language would help. It is interesting to chart the development of the service against the RNLI.
