We did the Vitrac to Beynac canoe trip and it was very scenic and pleasant. Unfortunately, it took us much longer than the 2.5 hours. We were told that once we passed the first bridge we would have gone half way. We passed it in under 45 minutes but then, it took us another 2.25 hours just to reach the... More

We did route #1 from Vitrac to Beynac, an easy downstream paddle of 15 km (about 10 miles) which leisurely takes about 2-1/2 hours, but longer duration if you make stops along the river bank. Unrushed awesome experience, combining nature and views of chateaus. A small no cost shuttle bus, which runs several times daily, picked up us and other... More

This adventure met our needs perfectly. After many self-guided town walks and guided venues, this was a great adventure with nature. The excellent Sarlat-Le-Caneda Tourist Office staff offered to ring the company on our behalf and make a booking which included picking us up on the edge of the medieval centre of town to take us out to Vitrac to... Our 10:30 pickup in Beynac was almost 40 minutes late and the seven of us waiting almost gave it up. Glad we had the patience because the experience was extraordinary. The trip from Vitrac took us about 4 hours, including a nice stop for a late lunch in Castelnaud. We saw views of the various chateaux and villages we'd already... More

The explanations on paddling for novices was clear; the canoe easy to manage, the river was a dream to transverse. Even the tiny rapids were not a problem. The villages on the river banks a dream to visit. All in all an entirely fantastic day.

A brilliant way to spend the day in Dordogne. The company was great in providing gear, helping us get in. Plus unlike the other companies it has a pull-out agreement with Beynac, so you can visit that stunning jewel of a castle when you are done. The scenery is fantastic with lots of places to pull out and swim, or... More

We tried this company as our second canoeing trip on the Dordogne, the first being two years ago. It is easy to get confused by all the different companies doing canoe trips in the area. We liked this one because they had a midday trip from Carsac to Beynac. You arrive and park in the shady carpark and then go... More

We stayed in Sarlat and drove to Vitrac to start our canoe adventure. The site was very easy to find. We checked in, got our canoe and were on our way. The river is very calm and the we paddled leisurely enjoying the scenery. There were many opportunities to pull over and swim or stop in s town to site... More

The minibus came to pick us up from the campsite we were staying at in Beynac, which was ideal. We decided to kayak for 22km, and were so glad we did. There was so much to see, and it wasn't such hard work as the river did some of the work. It's really easy to land at a secluded spot... More

Great gear - our canoe came with seat backs and our child's oar was the perfect length. Very friendly and prompt service. They are tucked away just across the road from the Canoës-Loisirs outfit that is visible from the Vitrac bridge. We went from Vitrac to Beynac which was maybe 30 min longer than we needed, but still beautiful with... More
