If you don't have time to travel throughout Switzerland I guess this is the next best thing. You will see many nice buildings from every corner of Switzerland as well some beautiful trains running throughout the complex.

After 8 years we visited again the swissminiature. Still a nice place to visit but since last time nothing renovated and the buildings are nit in good shape anymore. Needs urgently some renovation and freshness!

Swissminiatur is a tourist mainstay of the Lugano region. The concept is what it says on the box: scale models of prominent buildings from all over Switzerland. Sadly, the models are looking a bit faded and neglected, and 50 francs for parents and one child represents low value for money. The third star is due to my son's smiles--this is,... More

Would not do a big journey to visit this place but if you are around and have a spare hour it's ok to visit especially with smaller children. A bit pricey though...

I definitely recommend this for adults also (not only for kids). It is a nice place, an outdoor museum - big, nice and clean- and green. All the miniatures and the landscape created are amazing.Very well made, painstakingly worked.Take your time to see it ! it worth ! There are, beside historical and famous buildings, also landscape of different activities... More

We were in the Lugano area and saw this on TripAdvisor, so decided to check it out. Our kids (7 and 5) loved it! Their is great detail in the models with many moving parts, interactions, making you think you are looking at villages in action. Also, they had a bubbles demonstration, which the kids ABSOLUTELY loved. Between that and... More

Located at about 8 Km driving distance from Lugano through very accessible roads. It is nice to visit but you can save your time if your itinerary is already packed out. The adult ticket costs CHF 19, which I find a bit over priced similar to the entry fees to the vast majority of Swiss tourist attractions. The park is... More
