The boat I rented was in a bad state and after an hour or so it sunk. Very little help from owners. Dangerous site. Expensive boats.

It is the second year I rent a boat in that place . Last year was a Zodiac , the fabric sun roof was half broken so you couldn't put it up . this year I rented a bigger boat with a 250 Hoarse-power engine , we were 6 people on board , happily without children . Water was coming in from the front toilet , the front bilge pump was broken. The engine was half way under water , we were sinking . The owner arrived 45 minutes later with another boat to rescue us . Happily we were near the coast and not going to Isola del Giglio. we would have sunk .the maintenance is very bad . they rates are high .

A large group of us, all tourists, rented 4 of the 40hp boats for the day. Good location and easy to find. Service was friendly and efficient. Boats well equipped, properly maintained and in good condition. The "nominated skippers" were all properly briefed on the boat layout and safety equipment. We had a beautiful day all around the coastline, stopping to swim, relax and also rafting up for lunch. Thanks to Biba for also supplying cold boxes for our food and drinks.... and I believe they actually purchased them specially, just because they were requested! Highly reccommend Biba Boats and the whole experience along that amazing coastline! On our return, the Biba staff were at the marina, smiling and waiting for us to assist with docking. Great experience overall and highly reccommended! Only small downside was the refuelling process at a refuelling dock on the way back. (See other reviews where there was some unhappiness about the process, which has nothing to do with Biba Boats.) Would be nicer to be able to pay Biba a fuel deposit. Then perhaps they charge a "guestimate" of fuel used on return? Apparently they are not allowed to sell petrol but finding a way around this would be very helpful!

This adventure was worth every euro spent on it. Sun, blue water, astonishing views and amazing freedom is what we exerience during one day. Boat was almost new and powerfull enough to feel the wind in your hair :) Proffesional and kind service with english speaking crew is also an advantage of Biba.

We got a Sea Hawk 285. Plenty of power to have fun around Monte Argentario peninsula. Children got nice run with inflatable tube (not included in the renting). Weather was not the best, quite windy, didn't leave us to go far away. But was hot enough and shiny. Nice people at Biba Boats, good reactivity on the phone and by email, english speaking.
